Pennzoil Team Joins Cubs at Kub Kar Rally

The David Elliott Racing Team took part in the 2009 Greater Halton Kub Kar Rally in Georgetown on Saturday, February 28^th.

More than 80 Cub Scouts raced their home made cars during the day-long event, which featured David and members of the racing team as starters for some of the races. Team members also served as judges for the Most unique and best appearing cars in the competition and presented the winners with awards donated by David.

Here David presented his award to the scout who did up his kar as a banana, and Ed gave out his award to the kar he liked best.

Despite the frigid temperatures, the #37 Pennzoil Chevrolet was on display and, those who were willing to brave the cold outside, had their pictures taken in the car.

David signed an autograph card for each of the boys and girls that came out and also gave everyone there one of Gary's 40th anniversary book.

“It was a lot of fun for all of us to come out and be a part of the excitement with the Cub Scouts,” said David. “We really enjoy participating in community events, answering questions about the race car and giving people an opportunity to see a race car up close.”

The #37 Pennzoil Chevrolet will be appearing at the Performance World Custom Car Show from March 13 – 15 at the International Centre in Mississauga .
