A Busy Offseason

It may be the middle of winter (even if we don’t have the snow), but that doesn’t mean that David Elliott and his team don't have racing on their minds. Everyone is busy getting ready for the 2010 racing season at Delaware Speedway.

As we previously announced, David will be running a new car this year…the #9 car that his father Gary ran at Delaware last season. The guys are busy rebuilding the car and adding a new body with David's traditional #37 and Pennzoil colours. They have been busy in the shop putting the new car together and can’t wait to get it finished for the paint shop.

We are all well aware that the poor economy has taken its toll on a number of businesses over the past couple of years. David Elliott racing has felt the impact as well and several of the small associate sponsors will not be able to continue supporting the team this season.

As a result, David and the rest of the guys have also been busy looking for businesses who would like to be a part of the team. For as little as $500, they will put a company’s logo on the car, web site and hero cards. For all you marketing-types…that equates to less than a tenth of a cent per impression! If you're interested in sponsoring David Elliott Racing in 2010, just drop a line to davidelliottracing@yahoo.com.

One thing that should be very attractive to potential sponsors is the team's participation in the Delaware Summer Showdown. In this special non-points event, being held on Wednesday, July 7th, David will be trading paint with NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers Kyle Busch, David Reutimann and Regan Smith. Tickets for this race won’t last long, so visit www.delawarespeedway.com to get your seats today.

That's it for now. We'll keep checking back to follow the team's progress as they prepare for the upcoming racing season.
