After a weekend off, David Elliott Racing is preparing the race car

to run Saturday night at Flamboro, then they'll head down the 401

to run Sunday at Delaware's big event for the year, the APC 300.

  Another top 5 For David Elliott Racing

Saturday August 18th was a great day for David Elliott Racing , we had a great set of

tires left over from the week before. We went out in the first and started 4th, by lap 2 we

were in 3rd place following #8 of Paul Howse and #10x a Delaware car of Jesse Kenndey.

The twocars made contact coming of turn 2 and both cars spun into the middle of the s

traight. David was the only car to make it through the wreck out of all the cars on the track.

We took over the lead and never looked back, we won our heat race for the 4th consecutive

week. David stated 9th in the feature and on the first lap there was a caution when Paul

Howse was spun coming off of turn 2, this was the only caution of the night. When we took

the green we moved to the outside lane and this lane didn't move forward. we ended up

loosing a few spots and then started to work forward. by the end of the race we were within

6 car lengthsof the leader Jeff Stewart, Jason Shaw finished 2nd and Scott Lyons Finished

3rd.

We had a good points night, but so did The 1st and 2nd place cars in the standings. with 2-3

nights of points racing left, were going to need some luck on our side to move forward in the

standings. We have a 25 point lead over 4th place Gary Elliott and were only 12 points out of

2nd place Scott Lyons.
