   Opening Night is a Disaster for David Elliott Racing

 Saturday April 26th, Opening night of racing for Flamboro Speedway. It started

 out as a great continuation from last year, we went through tech and felt through

 the warm ups that the car was real good. We started 5th in our heat race and

 worked our way up to 4th. The crew worked very hard to get the car ready and

 prepared to win the opening night, which would be a chore starting from the 7th

 starting position, but we felt we had a chance. During the pre race warm up, the

 car shut off, we lost all power, David drove the car to the infield and tried to get

 the car to fire back up. To no avail, he hit the switches and after moving them

 around the car powered back up. David went out on to the track and was black

 flagged for not taking the green, a track rule. The car never acted up again we

 feel it is the ignition switch that acted up, hopefully when we replace it the car

 will be good to go for next week.

 The crew did a great job Ed, Marty, Mike, Newf, Brett and Dave L, and our new

 Photographer Gordon. We still have a bit of work to do on the trailer but we

 we should be in good shape after this week.
